Description
Ferrari 166 MM Berlinetta Le Mans; the interior of a Ferrari 166 MM Berlinetta Le Mans featuring the steering wheel with an upside-down Prancing Horse. It was designed primarily for racing, only 6 were produced, and was an improvement of earlier models of the Ferrari 166, such as the 166 Barchetta. This “Berlinetta” design was a little heavier than previous models, and was supposed to perform better in high-speed races such as the Le Mans races. Neither of the two cars entered that year finished the race, but they were upgraded to 195 S specification, capable of 170 bhp @ 7000 rpm, which was good enough to win the 1950 Mille Miglia.
