Description
A rain soaked driver removing his helmet at the end of the day after driving in the Corthay Excellence Run. The 3-day drive through Switzerland and the Swiss Alps, was intended as ‘a tribute to craftsmanship and a celebration of excellence’ and was inspired by Pierre Corthay, founder of shoe brand Maison Corthay and holder of the Maitre d’Art in 2009, which was presented by the French Minister of Culture in 2009 to the ‘crème de la crème’ of French craftsmen. To this day, Pierre remains the only men’s bootmaker to have been awarded with this prestigious honour.
Starting from the prestigious Hotel du Mont d’Arbois in Megève the Excellence Run lead its participants up majestic and famous roads through Gstaad and Luzern to a finish line in Stresa on the shores of Lake Maggiore.
