Business of Photography

With cameras now a key selling point for all smartphones, the ability to take a photography has never been as popular nor universal. However the act of pressing the shutter is just one aspect of photography. The business of photography offers guidance and knowledge to help with other aspects of the industry including photography copyright, and how to spot a bad client. These fundamentals are key to ensuring new entrants to the market are as well informed and well armed as possible to help run a successful business.

Just as access to a keyboard does not make one a writer, access to a camera does not make one a photographer and yet the low barriers of entry to the industry fool many into thinking that the path is easy. The business of photography will help in the preparation and the post production of the actual taking of images to assist in as smooth as possible a workflow and to help avoid the pitfalls.
